electrogroup was established in 1994 to provide quality employment for Apprentices and Trainees within the electrotechnology industry.

We are the Electrotechnology Industry's very own training organisation & operate from three centres across NSW and the ACT - in Sydney, Newcastle & Canberra.

• Our Sydney centre is conveniently located at Rydalmere in the geographic centre of Sydney & is well serviced by public transport.

• The Newcastle centre is located in the heart of Newcastle's industrial zone and is only a short drive from the New England Highway and F3 Freeway.

• Our Canberra centre was opened in 2004 and is located in Canberra's northern suburbs of Mitchell.

• We are a Registered Group Training Organisation (GTO). A GTO is a company that employs apprentices and trainees, and then places them with a host employer who they work for whilst receiving on-the-job training for their apprenticeship or traineeship.

• Benefits of using electrogroup as your GTO provider

  • if a placement with a host employer doesn’t work out, or if the host is no longer able to offer work, electrogroup will work to place the apprentice with another host employer.

  • if a host employer cannot offer the full range of work/on-the-job training necessary for an apprenticeship, electrogroup may rotate the learner to another host employer.

  • apprentices employed by electrogroup have the opportunity to gain experience across a number of different workplaces.

  • electrogroup monitors the on-the-job and off-the-job training received by the apprentice to ensure that high quality and relevant training is provided in a safe environment.

  • ongoing support is offered to apprentices to make sure the training contract runs smoothly and to help troubleshoot any problems that may arise during the course of the training.
